Applied Mathematics is a branch of mathematics that deals with the application of mathematical techniques and models to real-world problems in various fields, such as physics, engineering, economics, and biology. As a study interest in the Mathematics program at FMIPA Untan, Applied Mathematics provides students with the skills to formulate and solve problems using mathematical models, computational methods, and analytical techniques.
By studying Applied Mathematics, students can gain expertise in areas such as mathematical modeling, numerical analysis, and computational mathematics, and apply them to solve problems in fields like mechanics, electromagnetism, fluid dynamics, and population dynamics. With this background, graduates of the Mathematics program at FMIPA Untan with a focus on Applied Mathematics can pursue careers in research and development, industry, government, or academia, and work on solving complex problems that require mathematical expertise.
